The Night Records | Editorial Illustration
The Night Records: A Visual Deep-Dive into Insomnia "The Night Records" is a conceptual editorial series exploring the mechanics of chronic insomnia. Inspired by current neurological research and ARTE science documentaries ("Unhappy", "Psycho"), the project translates the "over-processing" of the restless brain into a functional visual system. The series features a full-page hero illustration that visualizes the stream of consciousness as physical film strips, recording the night instead of resting in it. To support the narrative, I developed a set of interface-inspired spot illustrations: 404 Sleep Not Found: A metaphor for the biological glitch of inaccessible rest. The Sorting System: Categorizing mental clutter into "Core Memory," "Pending," and "Noise". This project demonstrates my ability to handle complex psychological topics through consistent visual metaphors, ranging from high-impact cover art to detailed informational spots.
